Description:
SYTDesign Consultants is supporting the developer with site layout, landscape design, roadway, drainage, utility design and preparation of environmental permit applications. The property spans 93 acres of forested land including a deer wintering yard, wetlands, vernal pools, and old stonewalls. The design team's conservation based approach was used to site 75 units on 22 acres, leaving 71 acres of natural open space. The high density of the developed area requires that special attention be placed on the functional details of the site design, such as stormwater ponds being constructed as permanent wet ponds with fountains. The dwelling units are grouped together into courtyards creating mini-neighborhoods within the larger neighborhood.
